The 1st One-Health Agri-Tech Workshop in Athens Concludes with Great Success

On May 27th, 2025, the 1st One-Health Agri-Tech Workshop, organized by the Horizon Europe project NESTLER, was concluded with great success, marking a key milestone in the advancement of one-health initiative. The workshop was hosted as a hybrid event by Synelixis at OTE Academy premises in Athens, Greece, in parallel to the Data Week 2025 and served as a high-impact platform for dialogue and collaboration among researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers.
With over 50 participants from EU and Africa attending both in person and virtually, the workshop focused on reviewing the EU-Africa One-Health initiative objectives, showcasing state-of-the-art solutions for addressing zoonotic disease spreading surveillance, enhancing soil health, food safety and security and promoting sustainable development.
The workshop was organized at the same venue and in parallel to the Data Week 2025 event, enabling exchange of ideas and liaison activities. Horizon Europe projects AgriDataValue and GEORGIA were also presented, promoting synergies and exchange of best practices in the agri-tech and data-driven agriculture domains.
