SynField installation in Volos!

SynField installation in Volos!

The first phase of the SynField installation in the Municipality of Volos has been completed. SynField systems are being installed to optimize and automate irrigation in the two largest parks of the city, Rigas Feraios Park and Anavros Park, covering an area of 40 acres approximately. A total of 41 SynField head nodes and peripheral nodes will be placed in these two parks, creating a network of SynField smart devices. Several sensors and actuators will be connected to the SynField devices, both for monitoring the climatic conditions prevailing in the area, as well as for remote control and monitoring of the irrigation network.

In Rigas Feraios Park, SynField X5 head nodes and SynNano peripheral nodes were placed, in order to create a network of smart SynField devices that communicate wirelessly with each other, covering the needs of the installation efficiently and economically.

The all-new wireless peripheral node SynNano is the latest addition to the SynField family. It incorporates innovative features and provides flexibility as it runs exclusively on battery without require connection to an external power source. So the device can be placed even under the ground, where access to electricity is often difficult. SynNano is designed to have extremely low power consumption. The device has a built-in high-capacity LiSOCl₂ battery so it can operate continuously for more than 10 years without the need to change the battery!
