Securing the Farm to Fork Supply Chain

Synelixis is actively contributing to the Farm to Fork supply chain security research and innovation at the European level.

Securing the farm to fork supply chain through knowledge, innovation and digitalisation in agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture and food systems is mandatory for a sustainable, resilient, inclusive, safe and healthy community. Synelixis’ SynField precision agriculture platform already offers the necessary field intelligence for reducing the ecological footprint.

On top, Synelixis builds solid expertise on Blockchain, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and smart contracts, along with AI and security at IoT level. Synelixis has been the technical coordinator of the H2020 SOFIE project, which introduced the first inter-DLT mechanism to ensure “by design” trusted traceability. Since September 2020, Synelixis participates in the H2020 FISHY (Coordinated framework for cyber-resilient supply chain systems over complex ICT infrastructures) project to securely orchestrate an end-to-end complex supply chain. Moreover, Synelixis participates at the H2020 FairChain (FAIRer dairy, fruit and vegetable value CHAINs) project to foster the emergence of innovative intermediate food value chains that support the scaling-up of small and mid-sized actors facing the unsustainable conventional agri-food system.
