SyMon is Synelixis modern monitoring framework that satisfies the most demanding requirements related to SDN/NFV-based service deployment in public, private or hybrid cloud environments. SyMon framework enables real time collection of critical performance data not only on network but also on computation and storage resources. This is achieved through the automated installation of lightweight probes in applications or services, instantiated either in Virtual Machines or LXC/LXD containers (regardless of the operating systems and hypervisors). The data are sent to the SyMon monitoring engine for further processing and user notification, in case rules are violated or thresholds are exceeded. Notifications can be provided via synchronous and asynchronous channels (i.e. email, SMS, web access, subscription to message brokers).
