Software Engineer

Job description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions. The candidate is expected to gracefully collaborate with a team to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this context, the candidate should be able to work independently with little supervision and, hence, should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Review and debug code
• Perform validation and verification testing
• Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve products
• Document development phases and monitor systems
• Ensure software is up-to-date and on par with latest technologies

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience
• Extensive experience in software development, scripting and project management
• Excellent understanding of the principles of OOP programming and relevant design patterns (e.g. MVC, Adapter, Observer)
• Firm knowledge of Python, Java and/or Golang
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Linux, Windows)
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently and take initiatives
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
• Experience in Docker technologies and Kubernetes will be considered a plus
