On Monday, May 26th, 2025, an Open Day event was held as part of the ATLANTIS Large-Scale Pilot (LSP#2) in the health sector. Hosted at Mitera Hospital in Athens, Greece, the event brought together not only members of the project consortium but also key stakeholders from the IT and cybersecurity industries, along with representatives from ENISA—the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity.
Dr. Artemis Voulkidis and Mrs. Niki Alexopoulou delivered informative presentations, offering valuable insights into the project’s goals and progress. They showcased the technologies developed by Synelixis, including a secure platform for the exchange of threat intelligence among critical infrastructures, as well as a set of applications that enable individuals near these infrastructures to report security and safety incidents in a timely manner.
The ATLANTIS LSP#2 focuses on validating cyber-physical-human security in critical infrastructures (CIs), with an emphasis on healthcare. The pilot addresses systemic risks and supports business continuity and resilience by facilitating secure information exchange across operational levels—within CI organizations, between sectors, and in national and cross-border contexts.
ATLANTIS focuses on strengthening the resilience and Cyber-Physical-Human (CPH) security of critical infrastructures across the EU. Rather than addressing individual systems or assets in isolation, ATLANTIS takes a systemic approach, targeting large-scale natural hazards and complex, combined cyber-physical threats that could disrupt essential societal functions. Involving 39 partners from across Europe with diverse expertise, the project aims to enhance the protection and operational continuity of interconnected infrastructures, reduce cascading impacts on people, the environment, and other infrastructures, and support both public and private stakeholders in adopting sustainable and future-proof security solutions.
Synelixis’s technological excellence stems from its ongoing commitment to continuous research and development. The company plays a pivotal role—as Project Coordinator, Technical Coordinator, or Beneficiary—in a wide range of EU co-funded projects across multiple European frameworks. This active involvement enables Synelixis to deliver cutting-edge solutions and drive progress in secure, intelligent, and efficient systems, demonstrating its dedication to innovation and cross-sector impact.
